At A Moment of Magic, we believe in the power of imagination and the strength of the human spirit. That’s why we launched the Express, Create, Heal (ECH) program. Express, Create, Heal is more than just a program; it’s a movement. It’s about giving children and teens affected by childhood cancer the tools and encouragement they need to explore their creativity and use it as a means of self-expression and healing. Express, Create, Heal encompasses several key initiatives:
ECH Programs are designed to support children affected by cancer through both virtual and in-person peer-based social learning initiatives. These programs aim to connect these children with vital mental health resources and education, creating a supportive community where they can share experiences, gain emotional support, and access tools to enhance their well-being. By fostering a network of peers and providing essential educational resources, ECH Programs strive to improve the mental health and overall quality of life for these young individuals.
2. ECH Education Hub
The ECH Education Hub is an extensive repository of knowledge and training, meticulously researched, written, and produced by our Medical Advisory Committee. It is tailored for professionals working in the nonprofit, education, and medical sectors, offering insights and strategies to address the unique challenges faced by families dealing with pediatric cancer. Through this hub, professionals can access specialized training programs, available for purchase via membership or on an ad hoc basis, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively support their communities and make a meaningful impact.
The ECH Alliance is a coalition dedicated to amplifying the impact of pediatric cancer mental health initiatives. Comprising individuals and organizations, the alliance works towards creating a more compassionate and resilient support network for families in need. Members benefit from access to a wealth of virtual resources, opportunities for information sharing, and enhanced integration of advocacy efforts. By fostering collaboration and promoting each other's work, the ECH Alliance strengthens the collective efforts to support pediatric cancer patients and their families, ensuring they receive the comprehensive care and support they deserve.
